Homeplace wins Discover Heritage Award
Fantastic news today about one of our most cherished projects from 2016…
Homeplace, the arts and literary centre dedicated to the life and work of Seamus Heaney, has won Best Visitor and Interpretation Centre at the 2017 Discover Heritage Awards.
Seamus Heaney HomePlace features a permanent exhibition designed and produced by the immensely talented interpretive team at Tandem. Noho were proud to work with Tandem on the project – we wrote all interpretative copy for the Centre and produced a range of digital content including ambient animations, live action video and interactive touch screens.
After the award was announced Dr Bill Bevan, Chair of the AHI, took to Twitter, saying that the judges were “impressed by themed spaces, activity room & connecting man, place & poetry.”
We’re thrilled to see the Centre get such prestigious professional recognition, especially on top of the popular reception it has already received from the public since it opened last year.
